For three days during the Songkran Festival, Silom Road in Bangkok is turned into a walking street so that tourists, both Thais and foreigners, can come and have some fun. This year, an 80 meter “Tunnel of Love” has been set up on both sides of the road with sprinklers to ensure that everyone will be able to cool down during the hottest time of year. Don’t go to Silom expecting to stay dry. If you miss the sprinklers you will certainly get splashed with water by some of the thousands of people enjoying the world’s biggest water fight.
