There were originally two floating markets in Hua Hin. They were built around the same time and practically next door to each other. So, I guess it was inevitable that one of them would fold. The surviving market is Sam Phan Nam Floating Market. To be clear, this is not what most foreigners would think a floating market should look like. It is mainly set up for Thais to shop and take selfies. And of course, eat lots of food. It is more “lakeside” than “floating”. I did enjoy my visit here but I now hear that foreigners are charged 200 Baht to enter.
