If you plan to visit Hua Hin on holiday, be sure to check out PlearnWan which is a market with character. A rare commodity these days. They bill it as a “living museum”, but it is mainly shops and food. PlearWan is a recreation of olden day markets complete with products not seen by Thai people for a long time. Which is why it is probably more popular with Thais than foreigners. The name “Plearn” comes from combining the English words “play” and “learn”. The Thai word “wan” refers to the past.
