The skies over Cha-Am Beach are painted with a myriad of colours at the annual International Kite Festival, when hundreds of kites, in a variety of forms and structures, take flight towards the end of March. As is always the case, it is the more unusual and colourful kites that draw the biggest crowds. The event showcases kite culture from around the world. For those who want to enjoy flying a kite of their own, lots of kite-makers will be in Cha-Am for the weekend setting up shop and selling their creations.
