One of the lesser known museums in Bangkok is the Royal Thai Air Force Museum. It can be found on Phahon Yothin Road which is on the eastern side of Don Mueang Airport. It is a great place to come for anyone with an interest in aviation. The museum was set up in 1952 with the purpose of collecting and restoring equipment and aircraft in use during the early period of Thai aviation history up to the present time. The museum is open every day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. except on national holidays. Entrance is free.
