The natural rock formations in Pa Hin Ngam National Park in Chaiyaphum were originally only known to local people. But, in 1985, they were discovered by a local district officer who recommended that the area be delcared a national park. This happened the following year. The area consists of a mountain range such as Pung Haui Mountain, about 200-800 meters above sea level. The forest is semi-evergreen forest mixed with deciduous forest. Around July to August, Dok Krachiao or Siam Tulips, bloom throughout the park and are popular with visitors. Pha Sut Phaen Din, a cliff edge viewpoint also draws many tourists as do the rock formations. One of them is shaped like the FIFA World Cup trophy. Visit Thailand From Above for aerial photos of the park.
